Take your prevention againist ticks twice!
Together with hot weather getting ticks at the places where dogs are taken for
walks may put pets’ and humans’ health into danger. Ticks increase in number at
green areas such as parks, picnic areas and gardens where dogs wander. Some tick
species need a living body to survive and suck blood. If there are cats or dogs
around, ticks will choose them firstly.
At this respect pets attract ticks like lightning rod attracting lightning.
Above 20 ºC ticks reproduction activity highly increase. Whenever the ticks
which can also live in soil find a living body, they climb into the body and
settle at a suitable part of that body and start sucking blood. With this
respect Dogs are easy targets for ticks.
When it is above 20 ºC, take your precautions against getting ticks on dogs and
cats at the utmost level.
Increase the frequency of your precautions at holiday resorts such as Bodrum,
Marmaris, Datça.
Don’t forget the precautions you normally.
Take may not be adequate. Please
take extra precautions. Take precautions such as spray, powder and spot on
solution besides your routine precautions.
Prefer spot on solutions. In their application pay attention to drop at least 4
regions at the back of your pet. This application is only for pets. Don’t forget
that there is no use in applying these solutions on people or in areas where
pets live.
After the application of these solutions , don’t give baths to your cat or dog
for 24 hours. Don’t touch the application places with your hands. Regular
application is greatly important. Don’t ignore its importance. If you have more
than one pet, apply these solutions more frequently. Before leaving your dog to
and after taking your dog from kennel or dog hotel or training , certainly take
your precaution.
After takingwalks, check your dogs’ around ears area, inside ears, neck area and
paws. When you see ticks which are not sticking on the skin, take them out
without using your hands. While killing them avoid using your hands.
Carefully take out the ticks sticking on the skin. Grip with a pair of pincers.
Pull out turning right and left taking out a nail from a wall until it leaves
itself.
